Spring is in the Air!

We have buds on our trees and daffodils blooming already. Here in Arkansas, seeds get planted into your garden by the end of the month, which is so crazy to me, coming from Colorado and nothing gets planted until after Mother’s Day,

It’s been a crazy couple of months dealing with an ice storm, and then my own illness that caused me to recuperate in bed for nine days. For me, that is rare and difficult as I usually am Mach X with my hair on fire. I am getting better, thank heavens, as we are supposed to leave for my book signing in New York next week, but I am still weak and usually exhausted by the afternoon. So why would I bring this up, you may ask? I’m going to share with you why.

With my dystopian fantasy series completed and I’m done beating a dead horse, so to speak, I’ve been excited to move on to my new Crimeantasy© series. The genre of combining true crime and fantasy is not new, but I was lucky enough to trade mark the name Crimeantasy© for this series. I started writing it back before Christmas and the little voice in my head told me that this needed to be better than the novels and novellas I’ve previously written. My readers needed to see the images in my head. Then, while I was sick in bed, it hit me. The publishing industry is changing so much and the writing world no longer fits in boxes. Lines are being erased and new ideas are blooming from the ashes of the old. I still don’t know what to call it, so I’ll use the term graphic novel or graphic novella would be the closest description for Azreon’s series.

Graphic novellas are usually 32-48 pages long, mine is well past that, so I’ll label it graphic novel so it fits somewhere. Each book will have 8-10 illustrations, along with two subjects who will face Azreon’s wrath and pay for their crimes here on Earth. If you are part of my newsletter, then you were able to see one of the images that will be in Azreon’s first book. The illustrator I hired is amazing and he seems to see right into my soul what I have visioned for each scene and I’m grateful that he came into my professional life. I’ll be introducing you to him later, once we have the legalities worked out.

In the meantime, my new Lingenfelter website is under construction and soon my sweet romance work under RaeAnne Hadley and my fantasy paranormal work under R.A. Lingenfelter will each have their own sites. I’m very excited to see how HostM has set up my Lingenfelter site and share it all with you! Keep an eye out for more announcements for Azreon. His cover is almost done and SQUEEE! I can hardly wait to share!

Until next time, may the blessings of the Veridiction be bestowed upon you and your wishes come true!
