More about the author

RaeAnne Hadley aka R.A. Lingenfelter (Lingenfelter is her maiden name) has always been interested in the afterlife and the true purpose of life. Her ability to sense those who have passed, she finally embraced the ability and began learning to communicate with the afterlife. Writing helps process what’s been seen and experienced. Using her maiden name, she’s allowed her muse to tap into the depths of her imagination to write her paranormal tales.

RaeAnne started her life’s career as an automotive mechanic. She was fired from a repair facility for taking maternity leave and being sleep-deprived began plotting ways to take out her boss, via a car accident. Her father read her notes and mentioned it would be an incredible story, so she began writing her fictional tale instead of taking it out on her boss and spending her future in prison. She will always be grateful for her father, and her asshole boss, for opening up an incredible career opportunity!

For over twenty years, RaeAnne Hadley has taken in senior horses to allow them to retire as they deserve. She has paid for their comfort and medical needs, given them love and nurtured them where their previous owners have failed. Many horses who were carelessly tossed away believing they had little time left, have lived into their late 30’s, and one loving boy enjoyed his retirement to 42. Seeing more and more senior horses being thoughtlessly discarded, RaeAnne and her girls, Madison and Ashlie, started the non-profit entity, Elder Equines Horse Rescue Project. Having been in negotiations for almost a year for RaeAnne’s dream ranch, Elder Equines had to be put on hold when the deal fell through. Less than a month later, RaeAnne lost her beloved mini, Mr. Moonlight. Three days later, another post on Facebook popped up of a senior horse being given away because it could no longer be ridden, had to have mash feed and had turned into a headache for the owner. RaeAnne knew she needed to take things into her own hands and come up with the finances to purchase property now to bring home not only her current horses, but to be able to provide a safe, forever home for these seniors. Elder Equines is a different horse rescue, as none of the senior horses brought in are adopted out, which is how many rescues gather their funds. Elder Equines seniors come home to stay until the end of their life.

The hope for this fundraiser is that Hadley’s can purchase the property late spring and open their hearts, and pasture, for more senior horses who can have the retirement they deserve. The goal is not unattainable, as the Hadley girls are realistic. The financial goal is to raise $250,000 for the ranch. Thank you for helping and spreading the word!
